Paul O'Connell easily beat all comers to make it 6 wins out of 6 events so far in theMagnus Technology Ltd.
Hillclimb and Sprint championship
A fuel supply problem slowed Paul in his final runs but no one was able to get near the pace he set on his second run of four.
Denis Hogan had a trouble free run to 2nd in class 3b, he still has plans for more improvements for the car so first in class might not be far away.

Club Members Cavan Stages Results
updated 17:00 27th May
Eamon Daly and Kevin Synott, 10th overall, 3rd Class 4
Mark Sheehan and Johnathon McGrath, 19th overall, 1st Class 6
Shane Mangan and John Murphy, 42nd overall, 7th Class 12
Congratulations to Mark and Jonathon for their class win, increasing their lead in the championship
Eamon Daly had a poor first loop when the new suspension he had fitted was
too hard for the Cavan Stage's, he also had problem's with the anti-lag
system which was causing the car to be down on power.
Eamon is hoping to have this problem sorted for the Circuit
of Munster.
Shane Mangan also had a bad start when he hit the first bale on the first
stage and bent a steering arm,
Ian and Paul Roche had to retire with a lack of brakes, they had too many
fights when the car wouldn't stop coming into the tight corners, they had
the wrong seats in the C2R2 for what was happening, but should be back in
full action again this weekend.

Killarney Rally of the Lakes
3/4 May 2008
Roland Doherty retired after Stage 17, Anthony Collins retired after Stage 8
The story with Killarney it was very short for Ian and Paul Roche when they
hit a flood of water on the opening stage and it pulled off the alternator
belt and they went to big round's to get it back going even to say they put
shoe lace's on to see could they get it back into service but the car went
into safe mode on the second stage.
There was a massive result for Kris Meeke in the Renault Clio hired from
Excel Rallying(Roche group).
Kris was up to 6th overall when he got a punture an ended up 21st overall
but came back with a bang to pull 5th overall 1st in class and his nearest
rival was over 11 minutes back.

Paul O'Connell wins at Wexford hillclimbs
29/30 March 2008
Report from Motorsport Ireland
Defending champion Paul O'Connell opened his title defence with a weekend double in Wexford MC's events on a new course at Barntown, the opening rounds of the Magnus Technology National Hillclimb/Sprint Championship. He did it the hard way on Saturday by only taking the lead on the final climb, with the weather playing a big part in proceedings. Frank Byrnes set the early pace in his 5.1 litre Nexa Autocolor Pilbeam MP45, 0.15s ahead of O'Connell, but on the second climb, James Stafford found a gap in the showers to surprise all the hillclimb regulars when his Darrian T90 snatched the overall lead, with O'Connell a tantalising one hundredth slower. Byrnes came a cropper, removing a corner from the Pilbeam to end his weekend early, while the ever spectacular Simon McKinley improved to third place. On the last run, the champion came good, improving by almost 2.5s to win, with McKinley 1.12 down and Stafford third at the end. Brendan Keane went well to fourth in the Magnum, ahead of Peter Dwyer 's Reynard while Byrnes' first time left him seventh at the end.
On Sunday, O'Connell showed who was boss, with a first run lead of almost three seconds over Dwyer and McKinley. That was to be his only time for the day, as an engine fire halted his next attempt. However, that single time was enough, with Dwyer's best effort still 1.67s slower, and McKinley's Escort another 1.4s in arrears at the finish.
