 Some comments about the event
Des FitzGerald BMW E30 M3 #36 2 August 2015 "Great day yesterday at the Limerick hillclimb. What a well run hill. Five!!! runs despite all the offs. Shame we are stopped by a simple crank sensor. Good luck to everyone today."

Paul O Connell BMWs #213 and #33 3 August "Congratulations and well done to Limerick Motor Club and James O'Rourke's team. It was one of the best organised events I have seen in 16 years competing. Such a well run and friendly team has impressed Hillclimb competitors from all over the country. Thank you all. Please forward my thanks to all at Limerick Motor Club."

Those of you who were at the event in 2014 may remember the barbecue after the event. This year he is back and he will be set up both days in the paddock, providing rolls at breakfast time, tea and sandwiches during the day and a barbecue in the evening.

The launch of the of the I.C. Motor Factors Effin hillclimb/Sprint took place on Monday evening at their shop on the Bruree road Kilmallock. Clerk of the Course James O'Rourke was joined by Limerick Motor Club members, sponsors and friends for a photo shoot.

Speaking at the launch James said he was delighted to be back as Clerk of the Course again and even more so to be bringing the event back to the Kilmallock area.

Commenting on the event James said “ The August holiday weekend provides a festive atmosphere to the event with many competitors staying in the ample paddock area, before going on to compete on a route with tight junctions and flowing bends Saturday and Sunday August 1st and 2nd.

We are delighted welcome Ian Carroll and his team on board as sponsors of the event and would like to take this opportunity to thank then for their support . I.C. Motor Factors are a local company providing a wide range of parts and accessories at the right price to the local area."

The I.C. Motor Factors Effin Hillclimb/Sprint will be rounds 7 and 8 of the Naylor Engineering National Hillclimb and Sprint Championship and we welcome registered and unregistered competitors to the event.

James also mentioned that the event will not be the same without last years winner Simon McKinley who tragically died at another hillclimb event earlier this year.
