The day stayed fine, not even that cold!

The day stayed fine, not even that cold, and it stayed dry, most unusual for 4th November.
Not too many entries, only 7, but what a bunch! Only one lady amongst the lads, Ms.
Anne Balfrey, one of the best competitors in any sport or discipline.
Anne had a bit of an argument with the course in the first half, but, true to form, came
back and took 3rd overall. What a lady!

Another competitor of note on the day was young Garath Twomey, on his first day of competition – he won 1st in Class 4. Great result Garath,

All the competitors were great, and it was a pleasure to run the event for such good sports

It is to note that all the competitors on the day were all from County Cork.
Unfortunately, not a sign of a competitor from the Limerick Camp.

A huge thank you to all the marshals who turned out to help, the usual bunch – a bit
more help would have been nice, but its the same story for every event, in every club.
The venue was as usual, superb, and thanks to the Shanahan Family for the use of their
premises on the day.
