Saturday 1 September 2018 the Donegal Hillclimb at Knockalla had six club members competing. Results were Willie Barrett and James O'Rourke third in class, Gerard O'Connor driving James O'Rourke's Punto fourth in class, Ben O'Brien, Declan Gannon and Thonas Sheedy fifth in class. Thomas nearly had an early finish but he "happened to find" a spare drive shaft on the side of the road in the paddock.

Sunday at the hillclimb started sunny but there were concerns about the clouds in the sky. An oil spill during practice delayed matters. Run 1 had an accident (driver OK car not) delaying the event again. At the start of run 2 there was a light mist of rain but as the run went on things became worse. Only 11 cars did run 3 and four on run 4. There were improved results for the Limerick drivers Jamie O'Rourke taking back his usual seat from Gerard O'Connor took second in class 8, Ben O'Brien was second in a very competitive class 3B. Willie Barrett took class 2 third again with Thomas Sheedy fourth.
