Michael Mulcahy finished second overall and first in class B at the first day of the Skibereen Autotest. Michael slipped back to sixth overall but still first in class B on the second day.

Sprint
Mixed weather greated drivers competing in the sprint at Mondello Park organised by the Motor Enthusiats' Club. Saturday threatened rain all day but nothing significant came. This allowed John Kennedy in his Dax Rush to take first in class 3A. Double drivers Willie Barrett and Joe Cliffird took third and fourth class 2. Declan Gannon took third in class 10.
Sunday was an altoghter different day. Rain was forecast and it came during the second run meaning most drivers first run times determined the final result. John Kennedy slipped back to second in class 3A by only 0.24s. Willie Barrett took third in class 2 again with Joe Clifford in fourth. Jack Kingston arrived with his Lotus Elan to compete in the historic class with its handicap determined result John's fourth place scratch time only resuted in eight on handicap. With large numbers of drivers opting not to drive in the rain only eight drivers competed in the fifth and final run with the event completed just after 3pm. Also involved the event were James O'Rourke as MI Steward and Gerard O'Connor as startline timekeeper.

Keith Moriarty co driving Callum Devine from Derry in a class A4 Opel Adam retired after special stage 10 with altenator failure.
