Mixed Fortunes for club Members

David and Rita Dee had a non finish with their Mini in the historic class. Rita said "We broke down on the fourth stage the diff is gone so game over."

Sean Liston and Katrina Walsh Liston did manage a finish. Katrina's report on her day "Rally finished! From 122nd overall after the first stage when we had that mishap when the throttle stuck open, to 40th overall at the end, happy with that! Could have been a lot worse with that throttle incident! Quick thinking and quick reactions from Sean saved us. Sean drove really great all day, we probably lost a bit of bravery after the incident but we got a lot quicker on the last two loops. Really getting going again in the car like we were last year. Bit of TLC needed now over the winter for our lovely BMW to have her 100% for next year. That's our last rally for the year now. Looking forward to next year and hoping we've better luck than this year! Well done to everybody who finished today. Thanks a mill to our sponsor Derek Walsh Camper Centre and my dad, Ciaran Fitzgerald, Tom Murphy, Áine Liston, Sean's dad, and both mine and Sean's moms for helping out in service all day. We'd be lost without ye! We'd also like to thank Killian Duffy for the great notes and Keith & Damo in CIT and Donal Healy for their help with the car. And thanks to Adrian Monaghan for his constant great advice on tyres. Tried the Hoosiers and really liked them! Can't wait for rallying 2016."

Good weekend for Ed O'Callaghan, Ed's son Christopher commented "That's Galway done for another year ,good day in the Office for the A team 6th overall first 2wd it was all go go as Ger Clancy would say but the man of the day and the weekend and a proper winner Declan Gallagher and Ryan on a top class 3rd overall and 0.9 off second, that man is god of rallying. I think he should open a rally school . Congrats to everyone who finished till next time Clare hope to see ye all there and proud day for KGP ENGINES"
