The 2011 ALMC Autumn Endurance Trial was held dry sometimes sunny conditions on Saturday 24 September.

Club member Paddy McDonnell was co-driver for James O'Mahoney, they retired after completing only 8 of the 19 selectives in their Volvo Amazon 122.

Endurance Trials are a new form of motorsport in Ireland. They consist of navigation by Tulip diagram to a number of selectives. The ALMC selectives were in north county Dublin and counties Meath and Louth. the selecives were between 0.3km and 1.85km in lenght The Bogie time for selectives is set a 50km/h. Speed is kept low by a combination of tight courses, stop boxes and "code boards"

From the 59 starters the bogie was only beaten 3 times on one particular selective. The selectives used a variety of surfaces including loose in quarries, grass in fields, tarmac at a Kart track and farm tracks. First car left the Marriott Hotel, Ashbourne at 11:30 and the last car finished there about 20:15.

Competitors enjoyed the varied nature of the event and are looking forward to the next. The results are on Shannon Sports IT, please note selective times are based on seconds above Bogie time so someone who equals Bogie time will receive a penalty of zero seconds.

Another club involvement in the event was Gerard O'Connor acting as MI Steward
