Let's go home and forget about it

The 2013 Wexford Hillclimbs were held at new venue near Castledockrell, about 10k from Bunclody, Co. Wexford. Two Limerick motor club members were competing at the event. On Saturday the course was very slippery after the previous days torrential rain, Gerard O'Connor on his way to the event on Friday saw many rivers that had burst their banks.

Paul O'Connell in his Pilbeam MP58H set a third overall time at the outset slipped back to fourth on the second run but took back third on the the third run and held it on the fourth run

Gerard O'Connor was one of only two competitors in class 5. In runs 1 to 3 Gerard was behind fellow class 5 driver Eugene French. Gerard threw caution to the wind on the fourth run, and it bit back when he had a dramatic crash on the penultimate corner. Gerard shaken after the crash and the car had minor repairable damage

Sunday saw Paul having clutch problems and he did not start. Gerard did a cautious practice and two timed runs
